Mike’s Mellow Moment – 06 May 2018

Please click the button above to hear this week’s mellow moment or just watch the video below…..have a good week!

We’re now into May and the weather at last is responding – this weekend we could have the hottest May Day bank holiday on record – just a week after snow and a month since even hotter temperatures. And to think next month we’ll have the Summer Solstice and then the days start getting shorter again. So let’s enjoy every minute of every day.

It’s almost been a year since my brother died suddenly and this week – at last – we’ve managed to get two undertakers to lift a very heavy stone Buddah and fill it with his ashes. That is now in pride of place in my garden; an area he felt he could totally relax and be at peace.

This morning I went to visit him and in the cool of the morning with just the sounds of birds around, it felt a fitting resting place for him. Slowly the sun dappled onto the face of the Buddah and all seemed right and complete.

It reminded me of a fabulous line from Benjamin Franklin and it might help you in the coming week as we listen to our chillout together….

Do not anticipate trouble – he says -or worry about what may never happen. Just keep in the sunlight.

May each day of the summer season bring many
    glorious sunrises and sunsets.
