Mike’s Mellow Moment – 02 April 2017

A wise woman told me yesterday that I needed to get into the nature and sunshine when I can. A few days earlier a wise man said to walk out into the countryside and sit in silence to ‘hear’ the birth pangs of Mother Earth as she awakes from her winter slumber. Everywhere there are signs of budding potential – the blossom on the trees, the animals coming out of hibernation and yes, it has to be mentioned, those pesky varmit wasps starting to stir!

So as we face a stunning first week of April weather wise, let’s ditch our computers and phones when we can and heed the words of those wise people. I know many of you already get into your allotments and feel the joy of earth between your fingers, but for the rest of us maybe we can make time in our busy schedules to take part in a grand re-awakening. By heading into the wilderness and soaking up the sun; by listening to the earth waking up, we too can shake ourselves from our apathy and discard our winter coat of darkness; looking to the potential of a brand new season.

To help us get there here’s an inspiring chill out and a reminder that as we see new life all around us, we too are forever regenerating….

“Every single cell in the human body replaces itself over a period of seven years. That means there’s not even the smallest part of you now that was part of you seven years ago.”
