Mike’s Mellow Moment – 11 Sept 2016

As you start a brand new week you sometimes get a glimpse of the challenges the universe might be throwing your way to help you develop, expand and progress.

Mine started when a wasp flew straight through my bedroom window into my face. I jumped out of bed, stumped my foot on a cabinet then got cramp in my leg. That rude awakening could’ve set my mood for the whole day but maybe it was a way of getting me out of bed so that I wouldn’t miss things that otherwise I would’ve done if I had still been sleeping? Maybe it was the wasps getting their own back for me having to send for the wasp man twice in as many weeks as their nest in my attic refused to give up the ghost?

Our mood and way of thinking can have such a huge impact on our daily lives. In a book called “The Secret” there are a lot of positive messages that have helped so many people. But the authors say that, despite reams of advice, there is just one thing you need to know. And that is…

Be happy NOW.

Feel good NOW.

According to the book, that’s all you have to do. It’s because, as you do, an avalanche of joyful things, people, circumstances, events and opportunities will pour into your life.

Sometimes that’s very difficult to do, especially if a wasp decides to wake you up at stupid o’clock by performing a kamikaze mission into your face. But if we know that “Secret” we can change a rude awakening – or a disappointing event – into one which offers hope.

Tonight (Saturday) I’ll be reading the news again for Radio 2 from 2300 – 0700 or so. That means that hopefully I won’t be attacked by any wasps. But if you can join me at any stage it would be nice to have your company…

In the meantime here’s our weekly chill out to set us up for a wasp free week full of potential – with no sting in the tail x
