As we head into April we’ve said goodbye to yet more familiar names…Ronnie Corbett and Denise Robertson just two to add to an almost unbelievable list of people who have passed on so far this year. Sometimes life’s events can seem overwhelming, other times we’re taken aback by the sheer beauty and magnificence of this world.
One day our time too will come. We’ll get to see what happens in our next chapter. Those who have left us have already reached that stage and turned the page. They’ve seen how their story unfolds. For us that are left behind, we struggle sometimes to make sense of it all. But carry on we must. For one day, when we’ve seen the whole of our life on this unique planet for what it is – with all of its twists and turns – we’ll realise that we had to keep on going. Because if we didn’t, we wouldn’t have made the beautiful tapestry – with light and shade in equal measure – that was our mission, our plan, our destiny.
Enjoy living your destiny this coming week. Because every twist and turn, every bit of light and shade, every up and down, gets us to where we’re ultimately meant to be. A tapestry may look confusing and random on one side. But turn it over…and its true beauty, purpose and magnificence is at last revealed.
